Position Summary

Global Training at Bain builds capabilities through a range of learning options.

This includes live virtual and in-person programs, apprenticeship, coaching, mentoring, social, and self-directed digital learning.

We are expanding the range and reach of digital/online learning at Bain through “next generation” content and engaging learner experiences.

The Manager, Digital Learning Systems will perform a pivotal function within Bain’s Global Training team, serving as the primary learning system configurator and administrator for the firm’s core learning platform (Springboard).

This will involve comprehensively overseeing the management of the learning tech ecosystem, collaborating closely with technology, data and learning content teams within Bain and external vendors/providers.

The role requires leading and coaching other team members in order to achieve strategic results.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, configure and administer learning systems, coordinate technology integration and system upgrades

  • Serve as the primary learning system administrator to build deep technical knowledge of all relevant learning platforms and content technology (i. e., LMS, e Learning software, and content libraries) and use this expertise to advise the broader team on product goals and roadmap
  • Plan, test and implement system updates
  • Oversee integrations and connectors with AI platforms and Bain systems
  • Oversee quality checks, test plans, support processes and learner support
  • Serve as advisor to global training team for direction regarding Springboard and suggest process improvements to global/local system functionality
  • Review upcoming product updates from the LMS supplier and identify potential backlog items that may be
  • Manage vendor relationships with external systems and content providers
  • Conduct regular account health meetings, business reviews
  • Stay current on the learning tech landscape; analyse new functionality and relevance to Bain business requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues, review product upgrades and new features, and engage in contract renewals
  • Lead Other Team Members
  • Coach team members to achieve productivity and successful personal growth and development
  • Align individual team member goals to strategic objectives
  • Program manage and coordinate technology initiatives within learning ecosystem
  • Work in an agile environment to ensure product backlog items are tracked and updated in Trello boards
  • Lead project management activities, providing timely and accurate information to team members and stakeholders Maintain plans, records, spreadsheets, trackers and databases
  • Create high-quality, accurate documentation, including meeting minutes
  • Manage and drive data analysis within the coordination team and communicate to stakeholders
  • Anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate
  • Communicate and present insights to diverse audience across the organisation
  • Use Bain tools and presentation templates to ensure that insights drawn are communicated across the organisation
  • Provide input for Stakeholder communication and engagement activities
  • Share frequent progress updates with our team and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent, with strong academic credentials or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of with learning technology (learning management systems, e Learning authoring software, content management systems, etc.); experience with implementations a plus
  • Any certification or diploma on learning technologies, system implementation and, learning data analysis
  • Experience with learning standards including SCORM, AICC, and/or x API for learning data analysis
  • Reporting tools and experience in analysing large data sets and using the information for continuous improvements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including dynamic formula construction, nested formulas and VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and other Office products (Teams, Word, Power Point)
  • Experience working with external content or technology providers to deliver business results
  • Experience providing line management for internal or contract resources including work allocation and supervising
  • Experience with Docebo LMS and headless LMSs
  • Experience with AI platform/tool integrations
  • SQL or Relational Database management experience
  • Experience working for a global company and managing stakeholders effectively
  • Proven experience with Learning Technology systems implementation and operations
  • Proven AI usage and application in a learning technology context
  • Guide team members in their assigned work process, helping to prioritise and provide input where needed
  • Planning and organization, with the proven ability to prioritize, and handle multiple assignments within tight timelines
  • Customer Focus: assimilates insights based on a thorough understanding of broader customer context
  • Knowledge of principles, training methods, and techniques for adult learners
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize set goals and finish deliverables on time
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the proven ability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments and work accurately within tight timelines
