Senior Production Engineer UK-based applications only, NO Sponsorship Our client A well-established automotive manufacturer and part of a global engineering group, is looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join an expanding team during a period of significant investment in their production facilities. The opportunity This is a hands-on role leading the development and industrialisation of production processes, working closely with Production and Engineering teams to introduce new technology, resolve bottlenecks and drive manufacturing efficiency. You'll play a key part in shaping how new and existing production areas evolve as the business grows. What you'll be doing: Leading and supporting continuous improvement and NPI projects. Developing current processes into a more industrialised, efficient state. Creating and maintaining build instructions, process documentation and risk assessments. Working cross functionally to resolve manufacturing issues. Mentoring junior engineers and apprentices as the team grows. What they're looking for: Proven Production Engineering experience within automotive manufacturing is preferred, ideally someone able to hit the ground running. Strong candidates from other manufacturing sectors will also be considered. Solid grounding in lean principles, VA/VE, line balancing and takt time. Experience improving manufacturing processes and supporting NPI. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a strong advantage. CAD experience (AutoCAD, Inventor or Solid Edge) is beneficial but not essential. Hours and benefits: 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with flexi time available.Early finish on a Friday for production facing staff.
