Tech Connect Group is exclusively supporting a prestigious global leader in their search for a production manager. Operating in the manufacturing sector, they are an expanding business that combines traditional values with cutting-edge innovation.
This role is based over a 4 day working week, Monday to Thursday, 6:30am to 4pm. They are seeking a disciplined and people-focused Production Manager to lead a manufacturing team in Worksop. This is a vital role focused on achieving production targets, maintaining a "no-faults-forward" quality culture, and fostering a highly motivated, skilled workforce.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Leadership: Produce daily/weekly production plans, review resource levels, and manage capacity planning to ensure optimum productivity.
- Quality & CI: Champion ISO 9001 standards, lead 6s housekeeping audits, and implement corrective actions to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- H&S Management: Promote a safety-first culture, conducting risk assessments, accident investigations, and weekly H&S inspections (ISO 14001 compliance).
- People Development: Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, absence management, and formal employee relations (disciplinary/grievance).
- Resource Coordination: Manage manpower allocation to remove bottlenecks and ensure the team is rotated and cross-trained via skills matrices.
- We are looking for a robust leader with a background in single-line manufacturing and a proven track record of managing both production output and people.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a relevant manufacturing/production industry.
- Leadership: Proven experience in manager-level management, including handling redundancy processes and formal ER hearings.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or HNC in a Management-related subject.
- Health & Safety: IOSH 4-Day certification is essential.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to use business systems for data analysis and report writing.
- Flexibility: Willingness to support overtime and travel within the UK when required.
