On behalf of our customer, a world leading aerospace component distributor based in Basingstoke, we are currently recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to join their UK team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience working in the aviation aftermarket component sector, be methodical in their sales approach, and be able to manage and develop a large portfolio of key accounts.
This is a remote role with regular international travel and a requirement to visit the Basingstoke office twice a month.
To prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for a broad scope of products, services and solutions – targeting airline and MRO customers
Deliver and regularly exceed sales targets
Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers in advance of meetings; following the visit, constructs a final report outlining the findings and actions along with market intelligence
Makes sales calls and travel to customers a minimum of 40%
Executes tactical sales meetings at customer facilities to include Engineering, Planning, Purchasing and Management representatives
Develops relationships with a balanced cross section of customer contacts and decision makers (management, purchasing, planning, engineering, mechanics)
Responsible for delivering sales presentations and collecting information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans
Willingness to work odd hours on occasion
5 years aviation sales experience
