We currently have a vacancy for a dyno technician to support our engineering team - bench testing high performance engines. THE COMPANY:

Based near Wokingham, Berkshire, our advanced automotive client is a company synonymous with high performance engine development. Due to continued growth, we currently have a vacancy for a dyno technician to support our dyno activities and work alongside our engineering team. Operating from our modern facilities, you will be required to carry out all aspects of engine dyno testing, either on our engine dyno test beds or supporting our team using our bespoke (in car) test cell.

You must be proactive, have a confident approach to new challenges, team focused and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of engine characteristics whilst being willing to learn and take on new challenges.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be supporting all aspects of engine and hub dyno operation and possess the ability to learn and understand dyno installation, engine testing and operating systems. The ideal candidate should:

  • Possess an understanding of engine management technology.
  • Be confident in learning engine mapping.
  • Understand wiring diagrams.
  • Be experienced in fault finding diagnosis.
  • Familiarity with using engine dynamometers would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with using hub dynamometers would be beneficial.
  • Experienced in engine/dyno installation would be beneficial.
  • Possess the ability to read and understand technical instructions.
  • Must be PC literate.
  • Confident in producing written reports.
