THE COMPANY

Advanced automotive client based near Wokingham, Berkshire, synonymous with engine building and engine development since the 1970s. Due to continued growth, we currently have a vacancy for a keen individual to support and work alongside our engineering team in our modern engine build workshop. The successful candidate will be focused with a keen eye for attention to detail and able to maintain a consistently high level of performance and quality despite working in a pressurised, time sensitive environment. You will be experienced in this industry and possess the ability to work alone or in partnership with other members of the team as required.

Hours: Full-Time 40 Hours per week Monday to Thursday. (Four-day week).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete teardown and rebuilding of high-performance internal combustion engines.

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Experienced in engine building (essential).
  • Confident in taking on a complete engine teardown and rebuild to a very high standard.
  • Able to build and create new engines.
  • Able to calculate cam/ignition timing, compression ratios etc.
  • Familiar with using specialist tooling required for measuring/inspection.
  • Read & understand technical drawings.
  • PC literate.
  • Capable of developing a build book/report writing.
  • Dyno Testing and software calibration an advantage but not essential.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Self-motivated, tidy and organised.
  • Very good attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member or confident alone.
  • Must have own tools and transport.
  • Able to meet deadlines and willing to adjust working hours to achieve these.
