Tech Connect Group has partnered with a leading Tier 1 Aerospace manufacturer located in Congleton, Cheshire. The role will support the team's ongoing expansion. This business operates across a condensed working week, of 7:30 - 5 pm, Monday to Thursday. The successful candidate must own a vehicle and be able to commute to Congleton 2-3 days a week, with 1-2 days WFH, post-probation.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role requires an individual who is confident in price negotiations with key stakeholders. Whilst there are no line management responsibilities, this role has potential for future growth.
Key Accountabilities- Execute and oversee the implementation of all annual, contractual, and tiered pricing reviews across the business.
- Identify and deliver tangible commercial initiatives specifically designed to improve gross margins and overall profitability.
- Lead the commercial preparation for large-scale bids, including data analysis, portal management, and pricing strategy.
- Monitor and enforce SLAs, penalty clauses, and volume-based rebate structures to protect business interests.
- Build and evaluate complex scenarios to recommend enhancements to commercial contract terms and forecasting accuracy.
- Maintain a commercial dashboard to report weekly on bid progress and quarterly on financial benefits.
- Partner with Procurement to align supplier contracts with customer demand and minimize supply chain risk.
- Source and share industry trends and competitor data to facilitate data-driven commercial decision-making.
- Represent the company professionally in negotiations and meetings with customers, suppliers, and networking groups.
- Audit commercial procedures and financial outcomes to identify 'missing benefits' and remove barriers to growth.
- Proven ability to conduct deep-dive margin reviews and translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
- Expert-level skills in negotiating commercial contracts and price increases with both customers and vendors.
- Experience managing the full bid lifecycle and coordinating cross-functional expertise to meet tight tender deadlines.
- Proficiency in creating performance dashboards and presenting progress reports to Managing Directors and senior leadership.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage your own calendar and drive accountability without constant supervision.
