We are currently seeking a number of experienced and motivated Composite Trimmer/Fitter Technicians to join our growing, high-performance manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled composites professional who takes pride in delivering precision-finished components to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.

The Role
As a Composite Trimmer/Fitter Technician, you will play a vital role in the trimming, fitting, bonding, repair, and finishing of advanced composite components, supporting production across our weekday operation. You will be responsible for ensuring all components are manufactured, assembled, and finished accurately while maintaining exceptional quality standards throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Trim composite components using specialist hand and power tools, working accurately to engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Demould components following cure cycles and carry out post-curing activities where required.
- Fit, assemble, and bond composite components to create high-quality assemblies.
- Undertake composite repair work, including laminate repairs, surface filling, and finishing activities.
- Prepare composite surfaces for bonding in accordance with specifications and procedures.
- Conduct self-inspection of completed work to ensure components meet quality requirements prior to formal inspection.
- Work closely with colleagues across production and other departments to support manufacturing objectives.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, conduct, and department presentation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support production targets through effective teamwork and communication.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in composite trimming, fitting, and assembly.
- Experience working within motorsport, automotive, aerospace, marine, or other high-performance manufacturing environments.
- The ability to trim composite components accurately to engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances with minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of adhesives, bonding specifications, and assembly techniques.
- Strong understanding of composite surface preparation methods for bonding applications.
- Experience carrying out composite repairs, surface finishing, and cosmetic rectification.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
