The opportunity:
TCG is partnering exclusively with a leading high-performance composites business that has recently launched a new advanced technologies division spanning motorsport, aerospace and defence. They are currently building their founding engineering team and are developing their own proprietary materials and deep-tech engineering IP. We are recruiting a Design Engineer for the more junior to mid-level end of the team, focused on fast-turnaround motorsport work. This suits someone who understands the pace of F1 and composite design, and who wants to grow into more complex programmes over time.
The role:
- Support fast-paced motorsport design work with quick turnaround demands.
- Work across composite design and development.
- Contribute to a founding engineering team as one of its first hires.
- Support wider aerospace and defence programmes as the team develops.
What we’re looking for:
- Design engineering background from motorsport or F1 OR Composite Material Science background.
- Understanding of the quick-turnaround pace that motorsport design requires.
- Composites experience a strong advantage (the bulk of the work is composites-led), but not essential for the right engineer.
- Appetite to develop and take on more technical work over time.
- CATIA V5 proficiency required; NX also considered.
