On behalf of our customer, a world leading aerospace component distributor based in Basingstoke, we are currently recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to join their UK team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience working in the aviation aftermarket component sector, be methodical in their sales approach, and be able to manage and develop a large portfolio of key accounts. This is a remote role with regular international travel and a requirement to visit the Basingstoke office twice a month.
The Role
- To prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for a broad scope of products, services and solutions - targeting airline and MRO customers.
- Deliver and regularly exceed sales targets.
- Position the company as a world class partner with every customer by embracing their values and successfully balancing the customers' requirements with the corporate objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Technically understand the functionality of all the company's products and be able to effectively sell by differentiating them over the competition.
- Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers in advance of meetings; following the visit, constructs a final report outlining the findings and actions along with market intelligence.
- Makes sales calls and travel to customers a minimum of 40%.
- Executes tactical sales meetings at customer facilities to include Engineering, Planning, Purchasing and Management representatives.
- Develops relationships with a balanced cross section of customer contacts and decision makers (management, purchasing, planning, engineering, mechanics).
- Monitors competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that impact buying decisions.
- Responsible for delivering sales presentations and collecting information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans.
- Ability to develop budgets and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
- Works in tandem with the Product managers and Strategic Partners to drive programs at selected customers.

Education & Experience
- 5 years aviation sales experience.
- Aeronautical degrees and further education qualifications not essential but will be considered as a benefit to all applicants.
