Scope of Work

We are looking for an experienced Network Support Engineer to provide onsite Hands & Feet Support for a Network Deployment Activity. The engineer will assist the remote network team with hardware installation, rack & stack activities, structured cabling, Aruba Access Point (AP) installation, connectivity validation, and deployment-related tasks.
Responsibilities
1. Network Deployment Support
- Assist with the installation and deployment of network equipment.
- Perform rack & stack activities as instructed by the remote network team.
- Connect routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Support hardware installation and physical connectivity.
2. Cabling & Access Point Installation
- Install and organize structured network cabling.
- Mount Aruba Wireless Access Points (WAPs) using the appropriate mounting hardware.
- Install patch cables and ensure proper cable routing and management using Velcro straps.
- Label devices and cables according to customer standards.
3. Hands & Feet Support
- Provide console access to the remote engineering team.
- Assist with hardware replacement and installation activities.
- Perform basic connectivity testing and troubleshooting.
- Support remote engineers during device configuration and validation.
4. Documentation & Coordination
- Coordinate with the remote deployment team throughout the activity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
- Report any issues or observations immediately.
- Obtain customer sign-off upon successful completion of the activity.

Activity Overview
The engineer will provide onsite Hands & Feet Network Support for a Network Deployment Project at Colworth R&D Build, United Kingdom, from 27th July 2026 to 3rd August 2026. The engineer will work closely with the remote network team to perform hardware installation, rack & stack activities, Aruba Access Point installation, structured cabling, connectivity testing, and deployment support. The engineer must ensure all assigned tasks are completed according to customer standards and obtain customer sign-off before leaving the site each day.
