We are currently seeking a highly skilled Field Network Engineer to support one of our esteemed clients.
Location: UK β Aberdeen
Work Mode: Onsite
Contract Duration: 6 to 12 months
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Field Network Engineer to support both onshore and offshore operations for enterprise and PCN network connectivity across regions. This role involves requirements gathering, network design for rig commissioning and decommissioning, and hands-on offshore deployments while ensuring compliance with industry standards and digital security guidelines. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a technical interview, so strong hands-on expertise is essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather onshore requirements and prepare documentation for enterprise and PCN networks supporting real-time data applications.
- Design network solutions for rig commissioning and prepare decommissioning documentation.
- Collaborate with Field Network Architects and Digital Security teams to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Travel between regions as required for project support.
- Execute offshore deployments (typically 2β3 weeks), including:
- Installation and configuration
- Testing and troubleshooting
- Acceptance testing
- As-built documentation
- BOSIET (Global)
- MIST (Global)
- Basic Safety Training (region/sector specific)
- Donut Training (mandatory for North Sea)
- CA-EBS β Rebreather System (Global)
- Offshore Medical and Fit-to-Train (Global)
