About the role
We are looking for an organised, proactive and motivated Employability and Placement Coordinator to lead and coordinate high-quality work-related learning and external work experience opportunities for learners at Skegness College.
Working closely with curriculum teams, managers and employers, you will ensure learners have access to meaningful placements that develop the skills, knowledge and experience relevant to their qualifications and future employment.
You will play a key role in building strong employer relationships, monitoring placement quality and learner progress, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and delivering against agreed work experience and work-readiness targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate work-related learning activities for learners in collaboration with managers and in line with the curriculum plan.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with employers to secure high-quality, relevant external work experience and industry placements.
- Meet agreed targets for the number of learners accessing appropriate, high-quality external placements.
- Ensure work-related learning and work experience activity is accurately and promptly recorded
- Work closely with line managers and placement teams, holding regular meetings to communicate priorities, monitor progress and address issues.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to work experience and work readiness
- Ensure placement teams maintain accurate, compliant and auditable records relating to work experience and work-related learning.
- Ensure learners undertake structured work experience or placements that are relevant to their qualification, level and ability.
- Support the collection of constructive feedback and references from placement providers to help learners develop and progress.
- Ensure compliance with relevant occupational standards and requirements relating to industry placements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of work-related learning provision and employer engagement.
- Undertake any other duties that reasonably correspond to the role.
