Based at our campus in Beverley, the Senior ICT Technician will lead the day‑to‑day delivery of ICT services. This role requires advanced second‑ and third‑line technical support, acting as the senior escalation point for complex issues and line managing a team of ICT technicians.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the ICT helpdesk
- Maintaining systems, networks, devices, and user access in line with cyber security, data protection, and safeguarding requirements
- Supporting digital learning technologies and AV systems within teaching spaces
- Working closely with the IT Manager to contribute to ICT projects, service improvements, and the ongoing development of technology that supports teaching, learning, and business operations
The ideal candidate will be customer‑focused, technically strong, and committed to continuous improvement and professional development. They must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Level 3 or higher qualification in ICT or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft 365, ITIL Foundation, or similar
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
- Significant experience delivering ICT technical support in a structured environment, with strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 administration, networking, cybersecurity principles, and digital learning and AV technologies
- Demonstrable experience resolving complex ICT issues, working to service levels, contributing to ICT projects, and supervising or mentoring technical staff
- Excellent problem‑solving, organisational, and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users; proactive and customer‑focused approach; strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development
