With dedicated teaching professionals across a variety of subject areas, we are seeking a passionate and ambitious Programme Leader to join our Foundations team based at our Scarborough campus. This is a rewarding and diverse role where you will work closely with other Programme Leaders, Managers, and support staff to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences. You will play a key role in supporting learners with a range of needs to develop their skills, confidence, and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons to Foundation Learning students.
  • Support learners to achieve individual targets, including academic, personal, and employability goals.
  • Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of engaging and differentiated learning materials.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to meet the needs of learners with additional needs.
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour, and progress, implementing strategies to support student success.
  • Participate in meetings, parents' evenings, reviews, and college events.
  • Provide tutorial support, including pastoral care and guidance.

Qualifications

  • Level 2/GCSE Maths and English
  • Level 3 in a teaching discipline similar or in foundation learning
  • Prior experience of working within a foundation area
  • Experience or involvement in understanding safeguarding
