About the role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and student focused Programme Leader to deliver high-quality teaching and learning within our animal care provision. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring learners, developing their practical and theoretical knowledge, and supporting them to achieve their full potential while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and professional practice.

About the person

We are seeking someone who has a strong subject knowledge in animal care, with practical industry experience. They will have the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons to learners of varying abilities. They must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident in assessing learner performance and providing clear, supportive feedback.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be organised, adaptable and committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Animal Care Level 3 or above.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
