We are seeking a passionate and ambitious English Team Lead to join our team at our Scarborough TEC & East Riding College, Bridlington campuses. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation by inspiring, forward‑thinking, and driving high‑quality teaching, learning, and outcomes across our provision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of high‑quality English teaching and curriculum at a senior level.
  • Drive innovation in curriculum delivery and ensure every learner achieves essential skills.
  • Support and develop colleagues to deliver engaging and effective sessions.
  • Champion approaches that build learners' confidence and shape their learning experiences.
  • Serve as a role model of purpose, positivity, and professionalism within the team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience teaching GCSE/Functional Skills Maths or English.
  • Strong foundation in your subject area.
  • Highly organised, ambitious, and able to lead with purpose.
  • Literacy and numeracy to at least Level 2.
