Role

Responsibilities
- Assisting and supporting the IT Helpdesk, including providing advice and training to Assistant ICT Technicians
- Working closely with and assisting Senior ICT Technicians, 3rd Line Engineers and ICT Management
- Dealing with customer queries and troubleshooting end user issues on a variety of resources
- Installation of new software and upgrades and ensuring appropriate levels of access are maintained
- Setting up audio visual equipment for classrooms and events, both small and large-scale
- Maintaining and commissioning of new workstations, printers, telephony devices and networking kit
About the person
The successful candidate will have a keen talent for ICT, professional communication skills with a particular focus on customer service, be strongly organised and maintain a high attention to detail.
- Good standard of technical and practical knowledge, skills and experience in advising and working on ICT systems, supervising staff and undertaking specialist ICT work, with a Level 3 qualification (NVQ, AVCE or A Level) in ICT being highly desirable.
- The self-motivation and desire to work closely with colleagues, team members and stakeholders of all levels of ability.
- An awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
