The MIS Department is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Lead Invigilator to join the FE Exams team. This fast‑paced, varied role involves working across multiple exam boards and liaising with staff across all curriculum areas. The role includes responsibility for managing a bank of invigilators and coordinating their invigilation duties. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail, work effectively under pressure, and ensure the integrity of all examinations is maintained at all times.
Other duties will include:
- Ensuring that all JCQ and Exam Board rules and regulations are disseminated, understood, and upheld.
- Responding to routine enquiries from staff, students and the exams team, in line with the Data Protection Policy.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge and understanding of JCQ and Exam Board rules and regulations.
- Ensuring all examinations are invigilated to the highest possible standard.
- Delivering training and support to all invigilators.
About the person
Knowledge of JCQ and exam board rules and regulations is advantageous, and experience in a busy office environment is essential.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Invigilator.
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4–9.
- Level 2 Business Administration qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication, customer‑service and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work calmly, methodically, and effectively in a pressured environment.
- Access to a personal vehicle and appropriate business insurance is desirable.
