We are now offering a fantastic opportunity to join the University Centre Grimsby in the role of Lecturer for the Foundation Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions. The department of HE Business, Arts and Media are looking to appoint a dynamic, motivated Lecturer with a passion for IT and Computing, to lead and manage the BSc(Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions, as well as deliver on the FdSc Digital Technology Solutions programme. You will work closely with the Lecturer for the FdSc programme in managing and delivering high quality and inclusive teaching.

Topics and skills within the delivery of this programme include:

  • Programming
  • Software Development and agile skills
  • Database Development
  • Use of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence tools.

Within this role, delivery will focus upon Software and Data related modules, and ideal candidates would have knowledge of Relational databases, Programming languages such as Python and C#, and the use of Business Intelligence tools to develop reports and create Data Warehouses.

Other duties that form part of this role include:

  • Curriculum updating through validation and revalidation of degree programmes
  • Undertaking curriculum administration duties
  • Taking part in open events, taster days and student enrolment
  • Supporting students through 1-1 and group tutorials, as well as student engagement meetings
