As a Children's Club Practitioner, you will support the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, outdoor play, themed events and enrichment activities. You'll help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child can thrive, make friends and have fun.
Working as part of a friendly team, you will supervise children throughout the day, encourage participation, support positive behaviour and ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities for children aged 4 to 11.
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment.
- Support children's social, emotional and personal development.
- Encourage participation, confidence and teamwork.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and club procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and other stakeholders.
- Report and record any safeguarding, welfare or behavioural concerns appropriately.
- Have experience working with children in a school, childcare, sports coaching, youth work or holiday club setting.
- Are enthusiastic, approachable and engaging.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can think creatively and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities.
- Are reliable, organised and able to use your initiative.
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
