The IT Services department are looking to appoint a highly motivated, conscientious Assistant ICT Technician to provide an excellent customer service experience to all stakeholders whilst maintaining the successful operation of the organisation's computer networks and ICT facilities. The Grimsby Institute is part of the TEC Partnership, which is a large, innovative, dynamic and financially sound organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Front‑line of a busy helpdesk providing technical support, fixes and resolutions on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Assisting and supporting the IT Helpdesk, maintaining the many job requests, and providing advice and training to all stakeholders.
- Dealing with customer queries and troubleshooting end‑user issues on a variety of resources, in a number of locations.
- Ensuring appropriate levels of Identity Access are maintained for all our systems and processes.
- Installation of new software and performing upgrades to maintain them to an appropriate level.
- Setting up audio‑visual equipment for classrooms and events, both small and large‑scale.
About the Person
The successful candidate will have a keen talent for ICT, professional communication skills with a particular focus on customer service, be strongly organised and maintain a high attention to detail. You will have self‑motivation and desire to work closely with colleagues, team members and stakeholders of all levels of ability. Enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications would be advantageous, as well as previous use of Active Directory or Entra and Intune, although this is not essential.
