£23,750 FTE (£13,781.42 pro rata per annum) 26 hours per week, 36 weeks per year Permanent Location: East Riding College, Bridlington.

About the role
To provide high-quality, learner-centred support that enables students with additional needs (including those with EHCPs) to access, participate in, and progress through their study programmes. The LSA promotes inclusion, independence, resilience, and achievement, and contributes to the effective delivery of reasonable adjustments across the college.
About the person
- The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with a strong learner focus and have the ability to identify barriers to learning and suggest practical solutions.
- Previous experience supporting learners with SEND or additional needs in an educational setting (school, college, or similar).
- Experience working with learners with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH, or sensory/physical needs.
- Experience supporting literacy, numeracy, and study skills development.
- Basic safeguarding training (or willingness to complete upon appointment).
- Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN, or equivalent.
- Training in specific SEND areas (e.g., autism awareness, ADHD strategies, dyslexia support, First Aid or behaviour support training (e.g., Team Teach)).
