About the role
We are seeking an experienced teacher of Animal Care and Land Management to join our team at The Academy Grimsby. In this role you will be required to deliver practical and theory lessons to Year 10 and Year 11 students who have chosen the Animal Care Pathway as part of their programme of study.
This successful candidate will be required to deliver practical sessions at the brand new state of the art facility on the Grimsby Institute site and theory lessons at The Academy on Westward Ho.
About the person
This position would be suitable for a candidate who has experience of delivering Level 1/2 qualifications in Animal Care, either in a secondary setting or a Further Education setting.
The successful candidate should have a track record of being able to:
- Plan, prepare and develop effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources.
- Deliver inspiring sessions in Animal Care using a wide range of teaching methods.
- Create effective assessment activities, provide SMART learning targets, developmental and timely feedback to motivate and inspire learners to improve.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with students and provide support and encouragement to ensure successful outcomes.
- Reflect on teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.
