An exciting opportunity has arisen for a NPI Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-technology engineering and manufacturing environment, supporting the development and introduction of new products into production.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll play a key role in developing manufacturing processes, solving complex technical challenges and ensuring products transition successfully from concept through qualification into full production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from design through to production.
- Collaborate with Design, Quality and Process Engineering teams to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.
- Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support qualification and validation activities for new products and manufacturing processes.
- Work with suppliers to introduce new materials, equipment and manufacturing capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, yield and manufacturing efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance across cross-functional engineering teams.
About You
- You’ll have experience working within a manufacturing engineering or process engineering environment and enjoy solving technical challenges while driving continuous improvement.
You’ll ideally have experience with
- Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering
- New Product Introduction
- Manufacturing process development and optimisation
- Process qualification and validation
- ERP/MRP systems
- Manufacturing documentation and technical reporting
- Experience within any of the following industries would be highly advantageous:
- Electronics
- Semiconductor
- Aerospace & Defence
- High-reliability manufacturing
Knowledge of cleanroom manufacturing, electronic assembly, AS, ISO or similar quality standards would also be beneficial.
