The opportunity
This role is suited to an experienced electronics or software technologist who wants to work at the forefront of defence and security innovation. You will contribute to the development of highly complex systems that progress from early concept through prototyping and into deployment, tackling technically demanding challenges that have real-world impact.
Based in Cambridge, you will operate in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment alongside engineers, scientists and designers. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will remain close to the engineering while shaping technical direction, influencing system design decisions and supporting the delivery of cutting-edge products.

What you will be doing
- Providing technical leadership on complex, multi-disciplinary development projects
- Hands-on contribution to electronics, embedded software or FPGA development, aligned to your expertise
- Capturing and translating client needs into robust technical and system requirements
- Leading system-level discussions and resolving cross-discipline technical challenges
- Working closely with programme managers to ensure successful project delivery
- Presenting technical ideas, concepts and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders
- Supporting early-stage technical input into project proposals and new work
What you will bring
- A degree in Electronics, Software, Engineering, Physics or a related scientific discipline
- Experience contributing to or leading the technical delivery of medium to large development projects
- Deep technical expertise in one or more of the following:
- High-speed and/or RF electronics design
- Embedded software development
- FPGA development
