Are you a practical, hands-on Mechanical Engineer who enjoys diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and working on a variety of mechanical systems? This role offers the chance to apply your technical skills in a busy, workshop-based environment supporting the maintenance and refurbishment of specialist ground equipment.
What you'll be doing:
- Inspecting, repairing, and refurbishing a wide range of mechanical systems and components
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing effective repair solutions
- Working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine-based systems (diesel, petrol, or marine)
- Conducting surveys and ensuring all work meets relevant engineering and safety standards
- Using computer systems to record and report maintenance activity
- Collaborating closely with a skilled team of engineers and technicians
What we're looking for:
- Strong mechanical repair or maintenance background
- Experience with engines, hydraulics, vehicles, or heavy machinery
- Confident in fault finding, inspection, and refurbishment work
- Computer literate with the ability to maintain accurate records
- Engineering qualification (Level 3 or 4) or completed a recognised apprenticeship
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to meet baseline security clearance requirements (BPSS)
