Job Title: Senior Wastewater Network Modeller
Overview:
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Wastewater Network Modeller to play a pivotal role in delivering complex, sustainable, and cost-effective wastewater network projects. You will provide technical expertise, support innovation, and ensure best practices are applied to every project while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and guidance across wastewater network modelling projects.
Prepare, review, and approve design calculations, specifications, and deliverables.
Ensure all designs meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Deliver projects to time and budget, implementing cost-effective solutions.
Challenge existing standards and processes to drive continuous improvement.
Research, evaluate, and promote innovative products and digital design concepts.
Collaborate closely with supply chain partners to enhance efficiency and technical standards.
Mentor and develop junior engineers to support their technical and professional growth.
Support project financial and programme management, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
Participate in stakeholder engagement, presenting technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
Degree (MEng/BEng/BSc) in Engineering, Environmental, or a numerate science discipline.
Achieved or working towards professional membership of a relevant engineering or scientific institution.
Proven technical background and experience in wastewater network modelling for the UK water industry.
Strong understanding of wastewater network engineering principles and modelling tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering challenges and drive innovation.
Competent in MS Office and relevant industry-standard modelling software.
Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver high-quality results.
Full UK driving licence preferred, with willingness for occasional site visits across the South East.
