We are supporting a leading organisation in the nuclear sector who are expanding their Safety Engineering team and seeking an experienced professional to provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and deliver high-quality safety assessments across a variety of projects.
The Role
- Lead and deliver safety documentation for UK civil nuclear facilities (or defence).
- Produce and review assessments including radiological/consequence, fault schedules, HAZANs, design basis and probabilistic.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and manage workloads effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, support proposals, and contribute to wider business development.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years’ experience in nuclear safety case development/support.
- Strong safety assessment skills across multiple technical areas.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team mentoring skills.
Desirable Skills
- Chemotoxic or environmental assessments.
- Security case development (physical, cyber, or Vital Area).
- Safeguards assessments.
- Consultancy or licensee background.
