Shape the future of nuclear safety in the UK. We are supporting a leading organisation in the nuclear sector who are expanding their Safety Engineering team and seeking an experienced professional to provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and deliver high-quality safety assessments across a variety of projects.

The Role

  • Lead and deliver safety documentation for UK civil nuclear facilities (or defence).
  • Produce and review assessments including radiological/consequence, fault schedules, HAZANs, design basis and probabilistic.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and manage workloads effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, support proposals, and contribute to wider business development.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience in nuclear safety case development/support.
  • Strong safety assessment skills across multiple technical areas.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team mentoring skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Chemotoxic or environmental assessments.
  • Security case development (physical, cyber, or Vital Area).
  • Safeguards assessments.
  • Consultancy or licensee background.
