Our client, a leading engineering company in Retford, is seeking a Mechanical Support Engineer with a strong project focus. This is not your typical support role - you will act more like a Project Engineer, collaborating across multiple departments including Technical, Design, Projects, and Commercial. You will play a key role in supporting innovative engineering solutions, working on complex control systems in an aquatic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the mechanical point of contact across multiple departments, supporting project delivery.
  • Liaise with Technical, Design, Projects, and Commercial teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Provide engineering support to resolve technical challenges and assist with system development.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Support the preparation of reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical or hydraulic systems as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or general engineering environments is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work across multiple teams.
