We're supporting a local business in their search for a Service Desk Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working both independently and in a collaborative team, and is passionate about continuous learning. This role offers a mix of occasional on-site visits and a wide variety of hands-on experience supporting modern business systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and supporting small to mid-sized business networks (including VLANs and wireless networks).
  • Providing remote and on-site technical support for Windows and macOS.
  • Installing and configuring Office and Azure environments, including migrations and routine maintenance.
  • Managing DNS, DHCP, and network folder permissions.
  • Supporting and maintaining both server and workstation hardware.
  • Occasionally travelling to client sites (a full UK driving licence is essential).

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills - able to support users clearly and professionally.
  • Self-sufficient and organised - comfortable managing tasks solo or as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and macOS.
  • Experience installing and supporting Office, Azure, and Exchange.
  • Managing DNS, DHCP, folder security, and permissions.
  • Knowledge of Server and hardware support and configuration.
  • Full UK driving licence.
