I'm partnering with a well-established business that is creating a new Health & Safety Manager role, offering an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor who is ready to step up into a management position. This is a hands-on, fully onsite role where you'll have the chance to put your own stamp on the H&S function, shape processes, and grow with the business. Some travel will be required from time to time across East Anglia and Heathrow, however this is very infrequent.
The Role
- As the Health & Safety Manager, you'll become the main point of contact for all health and safety matters on site.
- You'll work closely with operational teams, gaining exposure to the full scope of H&S management while being supported to develop your leadership capability.
- This role suits someone who enjoys being visible on site, improving standards, and building strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and improving onsite Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Carrying out risk assessments, audits, and site inspections
- Supporting and leading accident and incident investigations
- Maintaining H&S documentation including RAMS, COSHH, and accident records
- Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training
- Working with managers and supervisors to embed a positive safety culture
- Supporting compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation
About You
- Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor, Coordinator, or similar role
- Ready to step up into a management position and take ownership
- NEBOSH Certification
- Solid understanding of UK H&S legislation and best practice
- Confident communicator who can build relationships and influence others
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable being hands-on on site
- Experience within Logistics or construction is advantageous
