We are working with a client on an exciting cloud-first transformation and are looking for a GCP Cloud Security Engineer to play a key role in securing the migration of workloads into Google Cloud. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking environment where security is central to cloud adoption.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across a growing GCP estate, ensuring applications and infrastructure are migrated securely and aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage security controls across Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Support the secure migration of applications and infrastructure into GCP
- Integrate cloud environments with tools such as Okta, Splunk, and Prisma Cloud (Palo Alto Networks)
- Configure and manage IAM, network security, and access policies
- Monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities, risks, and misconfigurations
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues throughout the migration lifecycle
Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with GCP security services (e.g. IAM, VPC, Security Command Centre)
- Proven experience supporting cloud security migrations or similar projects
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
