We are working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business near Acle to recruit an experienced Electrical & Control Engineering Lead to join their Engineering team. This is a critical leadership role - you will be responsible for driving improvements in safety, asset reliability, and production performance. This includes overseeing systems from generation and HV distribution to state-of-the-art instrumentation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the site's lead authority for all electrical engineering activities.
  • Provide leadership to the control and instrumentation team to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Support APU teams with technical guidance to ensure compliance and performance standards.
  • Implement and manage internal standards and procedures, including DSEAR compliance.
  • Line manage and mentor the Electrical & Instrument Support Manager, contributing to team development and succession planning.
  • Maintain a 5-year strategic plan for asset management of electrical and control systems.
  • Lead by example, promoting a strong safety culture and high-performance behaviours.

Requirements:

  • HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Technically competent to be authorised as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for 11kV systems.
  • Proven experience with electrical and control systems in a complex industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with systems including MCCs, VSDs, PLCs, DCS, and industrial instrumentation.
  • NEBOSH Certificate is advantageous but not essential.
