A great opportunity has arisen for two Facility Supervisors to join a leading organisation at their Dounreay site. The successful candidates will play a key role within Site Services, overseeing operations and maintenance activities in the Dounreay Cementation Plant (DCP).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise work within the complex, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in line with procedures.
- Review and prepare safe system of work documentation.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all areas.
- Participate in work scope and hazard reviews, work scheduling, and coordination.
- Report and investigate abnormal conditions, incidents, and equipment failures, taking appropriate action to protect personnel and the environment.
- Carry out Management Authorisations relevant to the post (e.g. Permit to Work Issuer, Radiation Protection Supervisor, Lift Supervisor, Radioactive Materials Coordinator, Risk Assessor, Project Supervisor, FCA Building Warden).
- Line manage and support staff within the facility.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar supervisory or operational role within a highly regulated environment.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive, proactive, and self-motivated approach.
- Relevant site and plant operation knowledge.
Contract Length: 12 months
Working Pattern: Full time, on-site in Thurso.
