Our client, a leading company in the FMCG industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to lead a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on on the tools. This is a days-only role in a fast-paced engineering environment, ideal for a strong electrical/mechanical engineer looking to step into or continue in a leadership role.

Shift Pattern (Days Only):

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday
  • Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday

The Role

You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. You'll lead from the front, supporting your team while carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support a small maintenance team
  • Carry out and oversee planned and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
  • Support installation and commissioning activities

Requirements

  • Experience within the FMCG industry
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background
  • Leadership experience or clear potential to manage a team
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent)
  • Strong fault-finding and organisational skills
