The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced FPGA & DSP Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering consultancy delivering cutting-edge solutions across radar, communications, and advanced sensing technologies. This is a technically challenging role where you will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, contributing to the development of innovative IP and customer-led solutions. You will be involved across the full lifecycle, from concept and architecture through to validation and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-quality FPGA and DSP solutions
  • Contribute to system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, and systems
  • Engage with customers on technical discussions and early-stage solution development
  • Support project planning, including proposals and time estimates
  • Identify and manage technical risks effectively
  • Mentor junior engineers where appropriate
  • Maintain clear and structured technical documentation

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong experience in FPGA development using HDL (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Experience with AMD (Xilinx) Vivado toolchain (or equivalent FPGA platforms)
  • Solid grounding in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Experience working across the full FPGA development lifecycle
  • Exposure to Zynq SoC devices is highly desirable
  • Understanding of RF systems or communications is advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams
