We're seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across our clients manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on, technically focused role, working closely with manufacturing, customers, and suppliers to ensure robust inspection, compliance, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Acting as the main quality interface with customers and suppliers, resolving quality issues effectively
  • Supporting manufacturing teams by identifying quality shortfalls and driving corrective actions
  • Training operators in inspection techniques, equipment use, and quality standards
  • Managing and improving the measurement and test equipment calibration system
  • Setting and controlling adjustable inspection equipment for production use
  • Translating customer quality requirements into clear manufacturing and inspection documentation
  • Creating and maintaining Quality Control Plans / LTQRs for customer projects
  • Producing inspection reports, trend analysis, and quality performance data
  • Managing non-conformances and customer complaints using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Whys)
  • Preparing and submitting customer quality documentation packs
  • Carrying out system, process, and supplier audits, including reporting and recommendations
  • Recommending and supporting improvements to inspection methods, quality processes, and equipment

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years' recent experience as a Quality Engineer or in a closely related role
  • Strong understanding of inspection techniques and quality assurance methods
  • Ability to interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings and apply appropriate measurement methods
  • Experience producing accurate inspection reports and quality documentation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support operators
  • Experience managing projects and liaising with customers and suppliers

Desirable

  • CMM programming experience
  • PC-DMIS Level 2 qualification
  • ISO 9000 Auditor qualification
