We're recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a growing business in East Harling. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to work closely with operational teams to improve safety standards and embed a positive safety culture across the business.
Reporting into the Commercial Team, this role will be highly collaborative. Success will come from building strong relationships with site teams, understanding how the business operates, and working together to develop practical, safe solutions to everyday challenges.
This is a fully onsite position, with occasional travel between company sites, so a full UK driving licence is required.
The Role
- You'll support teams across the business by providing practical Health & Safety guidance, preparing RAMS, carrying out site inspections, and working collaboratively with colleagues to identify risks and implement improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with operational and site teams to promote safe working practices
- Prepare and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Work with teams to develop practical solutions to safety challenges
- Investigate incidents and support corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety guidance where required
- Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or engineering environments
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is desirable
- Experience producing RAMS
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence teams positively
- Practical, collaborative approach to improving safety standards
- Full UK driving licence
