We're working with a major UK utilities provider delivering long-term investment across water and wastewater infrastructure, with a strong focus on performance, compliance, and environmental improvement.
They’re looking to bring in a Senior Process Engineer to play a key role across both design and operational optimisation projects.
The Role
This isn’t purely a design role and it’s not purely operational. It sits in the middle. You’ll be involved in:
- Developing and reviewing process designs for water and wastewater treatment
- Producing key deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations
- Supporting site performance through troubleshooting and optimisation work
- Working closely with operational teams to improve efficiency and compliance
- Contributing to capital projects across treatment works
You’ll have real visibility across both engineering and operations, rather than being siloed.
What They’re Looking For
- Background in process or chemical engineering
- Experience within water or wastewater treatment (essential)
- Strong understanding of process design and documentation
- Experience supporting commissioning, optimisation, or site performance
- Comfortable working across both office-based and site environments
- Chartered status or working towards it is beneficial, but not essential.
Why This Role?
- Long-term investment programme across UK water infrastructure
- Opportunity to influence both design and live operational performance
- Exposure to a wide range of treatment processes and sites
- Hybrid working with flexibility built in
- Clear progression within a major utility environment
