Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking to join a growing engineering business with an exciting pipeline of projects? Our client is expanding following the successful award of several major contracts and is looking to add an experienced Mechanical Fitter to their team in Newmarket. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer where you’ll work on a variety of interesting mechanical assemblies in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you’ll be responsible for assembling, fitting and installing mechanical components and systems to a high standard, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fit and install mechanical components and systems from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure work meets company and customer standards
  • Assist with fault finding and resolving mechanical issues during assembly
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Work closely with engineers and production colleagues to deliver projects efficiently
  • Maintain a safe, organised and tidy working environment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
