Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum

Quality Inspector

We are recruiting an experienced Quality Inspector to join an established manufacturing business in Thetford. You will support day-to-day quality activities, ensuring manufactured components, assemblies and incoming materials meet the required specifications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Inspect first-off, last-off and finished components, assemblies and incoming materials.
  • Interpret technical drawings and complete dimensional inspections using appropriate metrology equipment.
  • Identify, document and quarantine non-conforming components.
  • Maintain inspection records, gauge calibration information and quality documentation.
  • Support PPAP, machine trials, Gauge R&R studies and statistical data collection.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015.

About you:

  • You will have at least three years’ experience in a quality inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • You must be confident reading technical drawings and using dimensional inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of PPAP, Gauge R&R and ISO 9001:2015 would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, computer literacy and clear communication skills are also essential.
