We're looking for a hands-on, people-focused Production Team Leader to support a busy manufacturing environment, working closely with the Production Manager to drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Role Overview
You'll lead the Test & Diagnostics team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. You'll supervise staff, coordinate workloads, monitor performance, and escalate risks where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of production targets and resolve bottlenecks or risks
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing processes, quality, and safety standards
- Lead daily tier meetings and support performance reviews and reporting
- Monitor team performance, carry out 1:1s, appraisals, and absence management
- Drive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement activities within the area
- Use data and production metrics to improve efficiency and workflow
- Support training, skills development, and multi-skilling across the team
- Promote a positive culture aligned with company values and behaviours
About You
- Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate
- Good understanding of production workflows, targets, and planning
- Experience with Lean/CI tools (5S, root cause analysis, PDCA, etc.)
- Confident communicator able to lead briefings and cross-team collaboration
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
