We're looking for a detail-focused Manufacturing Logistics Operator to support the smooth flow of materials, production, and dispatch within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Acting as the key link between suppliers, production, and customers, you'll ensure materials arrive on time and finished goods are shipped accurately and compliantly.
Role Overview
You'll manage the movement of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring production lines are continuously supplied and outbound shipments are processed efficiently. This is a hands-on role at the centre of operational activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Goods In & Production Support
- Receive and check incoming materials against purchase orders and documentation
- Carry out basic quality checks and escalate issues where required
- Kit and deliver components to production lines on a just-in-time basis
- Shipping & Outbound Logistics
- Oversee packing of finished goods, ensuring correct protective and export packaging
- Prepare shipping and compliance documentation (e.g. HS codes, CoC, DG notes if applicable)
- Update ERP system to track goods from WIP through to finished stock and dispatch
- Systems & Process Control
- Maintain accurate records within ERP systems (batch, part numbers, stock movements)
- Support adherence to Lean practices such as 5S, Kanban, and JIT principles
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to maintain flow and accuracy
About You
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or warehouse environment (2+ years preferred)
- Comfortable working with ERP systems and inventory tracking
- Able to interpret basic technical information or pick lists
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach) desirable
- Understanding of Lean or stock control principles is an advantage
