We are currently supporting a public sector organisation with the appointment of an experienced Senior Procurement Manager on a long-term contract engagement. This role will lead end-to-end procurement activity within a complex, regulated environment and will involve direct line management responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver end-to-end procurement activity across multiple workstreams
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle from strategy through to contract award
- Provide leadership and people management to a small procurement team
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and internal governance
- Work with ERP systems to support procurement activity and reporting
Essential Experience
- Proven end-to-end procurement experience
- Strong understanding of the full procurement lifecycle
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Public sector procurement experience, ideally within a regulated or defence-related environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels
- Line management experience, typically managing 3 to 4 direct reports
Desirable
- MCIPS Level 4 or above
