Are you an experience Bookkeeper who enjoys providing an in-depth and quality service, and enjoys building key relationships?
NXTGEN is delighted to be working exclusively with one of our longest-standing and most trusted clients as they look to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper into a brand-new role that can genuinely be shaped around the right person.

They're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering a high-quality bookkeeping service, enjoys getting to know their clients, and wants the autonomy to make a real impact.
The ideal person will be confident working closely with a range of interesting businesses, providing continuity and becoming a trusted point of contact.
You'll have the opportunity to work on-site with clients where needed, giving them the reassurance of having an experienced professional who can work independently while building strong, long-term relationships.
Working alongside a highly experienced leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering a bookkeeping service that goes beyond the basics, helping clients better understand their finances while supporting the continued growth of the firm.
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing the bookkeeping requirements for a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
- Building strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Visiting clients on-site where required, providing continuity and hands-on support.
- Completing bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Assisting with month-end processes and management information where required.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients.
About You
- Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice or a client-facing environment.
- Confident managing your own workload and working autonomously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- A proactive approach and genuine passion for delivering an excellent client service.
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books or Sage would be advantageous.
