NXTGEN are excited to be working with an expanding firm that places real value on its people and client relationships. The business continues to grow steadily and is now looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper to support a varied and loyal client base.
As Bookkeeper, you will take responsibility for managing the day to day bookkeeping needs of a portfolio of clients. You will work closely with the wider accounts team to ensure accurate records are maintained and clients receive a responsive, high quality service. This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with clients, managing their own workload and being part of a collaborative accounts team. The firm offers flexibility, progression and a genuinely supportive working culture.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the bookkeeping requirements for a portfolio of clients
- Posting and processing sales and purchase invoices
- Completing bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Responding to ad hoc client queries via email, phone and face to face meetings
- Working closely with the accounts team to support accurate reporting and deadlines
Practice experience is preferred but not essential, provided you have a strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals. Experience using Xero is important, with Sage experience beneficial although full training will be provided. Experience managing a portfolio of clients would be advantageous, along with strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach to work.
