This role would suit someone who combines strong procurement process knowledge with ERP functional/configuration experience and can confidently translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Translate business requirements into functional designs, system requirements and configuration specifications.
- Support the design, configuration and optimisation of end-to-end P2P and S2P processes.
- Manage and improve purchase-to-pay workflows, controls and system functionality.
- Prepare functional specifications and support integrations between procurement, ERP, finance and related systems.
- Coordinate and support SIT, UAT, defect resolution and business acceptance.
- Support user training, process documentation and adoption.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with the Data Specialist to improve procurement data quality, reporting, dashboards and analytics.
- Ensure solutions comply with organisational policies, financial controls and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement following implementation and transition into BAU.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience within procurement technology, ERP implementation, functional configuration or procurement transformation.
- Strong functional understanding of P2P/S2P and associated Finance processes.
- ERP/procurement technology implementation experience involving platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, SAP Ariba, JAGGAER and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and system designs.
- Understanding of procurement-to-finance integration, including requisitions, POs, goods receipt, invoicing and payment processes.
- Experience supporting testing, UAT, configuration, process improvement and end-user training.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across Procurement, Finance, AP, IT and wider business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Technology or a related discipline.
Reporting & Team Structure:
The Procurement Configuration Specialist will report to the Procurement Manager and work closely with the Data Specialist, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, IT and wider transformation stakeholders. We’re particularly interested in people who are comfortable sitting between business process and technology — someone who can understand what the business needs, challenge where appropriate, and translate those requirements into a solution that works end-to-end.
Qualifications:
- Strong procurement domain knowledge, including end-to-end Procurement process flows and crossover process understanding.
- Hands-on experience managing procurement & finance related transaction flows in SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, SAP Ariba, JAGGAER and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP platforms.
