As Butchery Counter Service Leader, you will take responsibility for our butchery counter and customer areas, ensuring our team delivers an exceptional experience at every interaction. From a beautifully presented, well-stocked counter to a knowledgeable and welcoming team, you will set the standard for what great front‑of‑house butchery looks like. You will bring solid butchery experience and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will take pride in the appearance of your counter and have the confidence to lead by example, inspiring those around you to do the same.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of the front‑of‑house butchery operation and counters within the Farmshop
  • Ordering the right stock from our Tebay Cutting Room to maintain and grow weekly retail sales
  • Ensuring the counter is clean, well presented and fully stocked to a high standard every day
  • Keeping multi‑deck units full and ensuring all pre‑packed products meet the correct presentation standards
  • Managing stock rotation to minimise waste
  • Monitoring service levels and coaching the team in butchery knowledge and best practice
  • Ensuring the team are well presented and creating the right impression for our customers
  • Completing all EHO paperwork and daily cleaning tasks to the required standard
  • Making sure all preparation and customer areas are clean, tidy and organised at all times
