Overview
You will work alongside the trained butchers in our cutting room to ensure that all of our products are produced and packaged to supply our central production unit, our site Kitchens and our Farmshops, offering our customers the best quality products. You will ensure excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in our FSA accredited cutting room and you will be willing to learn new skills to support the smooth operation of the butchery and the production of our own brand sausages, burgers and more.
Responsibilities
- Completing internal and external orders by prioritising and organising your time and working with your colleagues to make sure that they are completed on time for our customers
- Supporting the production of our own brand products β sausages, burgers etc for supply to our internal customers as well as for sale on the counter.
- Ensuring standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times as well as ensuring all compliance paperwork and procedures are completed including stock rotation, labelling and waste reporting.
- Ensure a safe working environment by wearing correct PPE, correctly using any equipment and reporting any defect
Requirements
- No butchery experience is required but experience in working in a food handling or food production environment would be an advantage.
- Attention to detail, great communication skills and the ability to pick up new skills quickly are important.
- Comfortable handling meat products is a requirement.
